Dr Aaron Wernham is a Consultant Dermatologist, skin cancer & hair loss specialist. He aims to provide a compassionate approach to patient care and he enjoys helping patients with any skin, hair or nail problem. He currently provides private skin consultations at the Sutton Coldfield Spire Little Aston Hospital, centrally located for Walsall, Lichfield, Tamworth, Staffordshire & Birmingham. Dr Wernham qualified from the University of Birmingham Medical School with a first class Honours degree and has won multiple national awards in Dermatology. He was selected for a prestigious Post-CCT fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Advanced cutaneous reconstruction where he worked on perfecting the art of delivering high quality surgical outcomes.
Alongside clinical work, he has been awarded the prestigious Neil Cox prize from the UK Dermatology Clinical Trials Network and was selected to join the UK Trials Generation and Prioritisation Panel (TGPP). He is a past Associate Editor for one of the leading UK Dermatology journals, has co-founded the Skin Cancer Surgery Research Collaborative and is a nationally elected member of the Executive Committee for the British Society of Dermatological Surgery. He is the current chair of the West Midlands Skin Cancer Alliance and Expert Advisory Group and past co-lead for skin cancer for the Black Country and West Birmingham region.
Dr Wernham specialises in the management of skin, hair and nail disorders, including skin rashes, mole checks, hair loss, acne and skin cancer. His approach is open-minded and he enjoys working closely with patients in a relaxed environment to provide tailored, personalised care.
