Whilst there are a large number of conditions which can cause a skin rash, the most common ones are listed below.
To ensure you have the correct diagnosis and management, be sure to seek the advice of your consultant skin specialist.
A consultation with a skin specialist will involve answering a number of questions about your medical history and the background of your rash. The Consultant will examine your skin and sometimes your mouth, hair, nails and joints to help find clues. In some cases, Dermatoscopy (a high magnification tool) is helpful to make a diagnosis.
If there is still uncertainty, you may be advised to have a biopsy or blood tests to support the diagnosis or check for associated conditions.
If you have any questions about your skin rash or would like to book an appointment, please feel free to contact us.
